My Grandmother started making our toffee back in 1963. She would make it every Christmas and give it as gifts to friends and family. My Great-Grandmother would stand over her shoulder as she cooked and tell her when the batch had reached it's best flavor. My mother learned the secret of how to make it, and again Great-Grandmother was there, looking over her shoulder and telling her when it was ready. Both Grandmas are gone now but my mother has taught all her girls how to make it, and handed down the secret of the rich flavor. In 2005, I decided to share our mouth-watering English Toffee with the world, and 'The Family Secret' was founded.
